Successful kick-off of the DFG research group “3D functionalization for HF applications (3D-HF-MID)”
At the start of the new interdisciplinary research group “3D Functionalization for RF Applications (3D-HF-MID)”, which is being funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) for four years, the consortium met at the FAPS chair. All participating institutes were represented: In addition to the FAPS, the Chair of High Frequency Technology (LHFT) as well as the Chair of Materials for Electronics and Energy Technology (iMEET) and the Helmholtz Institute for Renewable Energies Erlangen-Nuremberg (HI ERN).
The first steps were coordinated in a productive discourse and networking was intensified.
The overarching goal of the research group is to create the basis for a new design methodology and manufacturing process technology for high-performance 3D RF systems by designing and researching an integrated model for function, geometry, material and process.
