The BMBF-funded Project BIOTEXFUTURE will be continued for another year until end of 2025. The vision of BIOTEXFUTURE is to transform the entire textile value chain from petroleum-based to bio-based. Within the innovation space, the role of the Chair of Industrial Management at FAU is to examine consumer perceptions of bio-based products and to develop strategies to make these products attractive to the mass-market. Within the next two years, the research team consisting of ESI member Prof. Dr. Kai-Ingo Voigt, Hannah Altenburg and Lauren Anne Mackintosh will dive deeper into consumer associations towards bio-based products and will develop concrete solutions to the so-called “attitude-behavior gap” that can be seen for sustainable products.

This research project is a collaboration with RWTH Aachen, University of Bayreuth, University of Duisburg-Essen, LMU München and adidas.
