Dritter Platz bei IEEE Photonics Conference
Marius Schmidt, doctoral candidate at the Chair of High Frequency Technology headed by ESI member Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Vossiek, took third place in the “Best Student Paper” category at the IEEE Photonics Conference (IPC) in Singapore. In his paper entitled “Coherent Optical Sensor for Contactless Eye Movement Measurement in REM Sleep Analysis,” Marius presents an innovative approach to contactless eye movement measurement. This could provide important impetus for the fields of psychology and neuroscience to further research neurological disorders such as depression and Parkinson’s disease. This prestigious award not only underscores the quality and innovative nature of his work, but also the excellence of the research activities at the Chair of High Frequency Technology.
