Norman Franchi, and the Institute of Electrical Engineering (LTE), provisionally led by ESI-Member Prof. Dr.-Ing. Georg Fischer (previously headed by ESI-Member Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr.-Ing. habil. Robert Weigel), merged to form the new Institute of Intelligent Electronics and Systems (LITES).
