20th Embedded Talk – Neuromorphic Hardware<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 20th Embedded Talk<\/strong> will take place on May 13, 2026, at 1:00 PM<\/strong> at Josephs in Nuremberg<\/strong> (Augustinerstra\u00dfe 19, Nuremberg). Immerse yourself in the world of neuromorphic hardware and learn more about the latest developments, especially in the area of \u200b\u200bhardware architectures inspired by human brain structures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pursuit of truly autonomous embedded systems is rapidly driving research and development in the “Embedded AI” and “Post-Silicon Technologies” research areas of the FAU Research Center ESI. The demand for artificial intelligence directly integrated into electronic systems\u2014from intelligent sensors to fully autonomous robots\u2014is constantly increasing. However, realizing this vision presents significant challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To overcome these challenges, scientists are increasingly researching neuromorphic computing, a paradigm shift in hardware design for AI. Neuromorphic computing aims to develop hardware for processing AI tasks that is energy-efficient, low-latency, and cost-effective. It is modeled on the biological brain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Embedded Talk will discuss the potential and challenges of neuromorphic hardware. The presentations and discussions will be held in English. The Embedded Talk is an established event series that serves as an ideal information and communication forum, fostering regular exchange between experts from academia and industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
